This 39 year-old man who lives in Amman, Jordan, contacted Dr. Alden in mid-2017 presenting with brain dysfunction after suffering a left temporal lobe astrocytoma (brain cancer). He underwent surgery in 2006 and has been searching for help to regain mental functioning. Labs were drawn and antibodies were present at the blood brain and intestinal barriers, along with antibodies against specific brain tissues. After six months of treatments, labs were repeated and ALL of the antibodies had diminished to the negative level, thus showing objective signs of recovery that were consistent with the patient's subjective reports of no symptoms as well. Years after beginning treatments with Dr. Alden this gentleman continues to thrive mentally and grow his businesses.
A 15 year-old high school volleyball player suffered a concussion during practice and after 3 weeks was released to return to play. Her mother contacted Dr. Alden concerned that her daughter was not acting like her usual self. Labs were drawn the same day as treatment began. There were an equivocal number of antibodies against the blood brain barrier, indicating that the concussion had not healed completely and symptoms were consistent with the objective testing. After only 48 hours of treatments, the youngster was completely symptom-free and was able to return to competition within a week. Post-treatment labs were negative for antibodies, as well. After returning to varsity volleyball, she finished ranked #2 in South Carolina High School Girls Volleyball.
A 63 year-old woman diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroid and severe psoriasis of both of her elbow to wrist areas spent years suffering with declining health. Cyrex Labs' antibody testing revealed multiple auto-antibodies related to both conditions along with related chemical sensitivities and food sensitivities. A treatment plan consisting of specific dietary changes including eliminating certain foods that promoted the healing of her leaky gut and decreased inflammation, along with regulating her blood glucose levels was initiated. This was supported by botanicals, compounds and co-factors that balanced the immune response, thus decreasing the destruction of her thyroid and skin epithelium. She continues to maintain good health by managing her diet and supplementing with specific nutrients that help to modulate her immune system.
A 22 year-old female who had been diagnosed with MS at the age of 17 consulted with Dr. Alden after learning of the medications and side effects that were available to the medical doctors to prescribe for her condition. She was interested in alternatives to the drugs, as she did not want to suffer the side-effects, and the medicines were only meant to treat her symptoms, according to the information provided to her. Consistent with her MS, she also suffered adrenal fatigue and sleeping problems. Dr. Alden was able to identify certain foods and environmental/stress issues that were triggering the autoimmune attacks on her nervous system. By eliminating these factors and supplementing with specific nutrients like bioflavonoids to reduce inflammation and Vitamin D to help modulate and boost the immune system's T-regulatory cells, among other strategies she was able to regain her independent lifestyle and excel at her high-energy and creatively-demanding profession.
A 64 year-old man was brought to Dr. Alden by his family following his discharge from a one-month hospital stay for clinical depression. The man was evaluated by neuro-cognitive functional testing with Cambridge Brain Sciences computerized procedures. Once the baseline was established, he was given nutrients to enhance certain neurotransmitters related to anxiety, depression and lack of motivation. These were included in the protocol of retesting with the neuro-cognitive functional format set up as his baseline. As this man began to return to the personality that his family knew he continued to take the computerized tests daily. Of particular note, his family reported that this patient began looking forward to the tests showing up in his email daily for him to take, which became a form of therapy in itself, as he had lost so much desire for everything prior to Dr. Alden's interventions.
A 15 year-old girl from Amman, Jordan was diagnosed with failure to mature mentally/emotionally from the age of 18 months old. Her parents have continued to raise this girl to her teenage years by providing all of the care that one would have to give an infant. She had been evaluated by numerous medical professionals throughout the Middle East and at the Mayo Clinic in the United States. Her parents recalled that after a week-long visit at the Mayo, doctors could find no reason for the delays, but did offer one possibility, "it may be something in the child's intestinal tract that is causing problems with her brain development". Dr. Alden ordered Cyrex Labs for intestinal permeability, blood brain barrier permeability and neurological tissue antibodies. The findings from those blood tests did confirm that she suffered from intestinal permeability (leaky gut syndrome) and Lipopolysaccharide release into her blood stream, also she was positive for antibodies against brain tissues. After two months of specific dietary restrictions and nutrients meant to heal the gut and regulate antibody production along with brain stimulating neurotransmitter compounds, she was re-evaluated. The family reported that her teachers and psychologists were amazed at the advancements in her mental and emotional functioning, her apparent cognitive awareness of surroundings was measurably improved. But, the most appreciated development for the parents came in the form of two simple words. For the very first time in 15 years, she called her parents, "Mamma and Babba". One could only imagine the joy of hearing those first words after waiting so many years. She continues to progress and will undoubtedly learn many more words.
